To embark on the path of the Yuthok Nyingthig lineage, practitioners are first introduced to three essential preparatory steps:
Wang (Empowerment): This is the formal initiation, where a qualified teacher transmits the blessings and authorizations needed to engage in the practices.
Lung (Reading Transmission): Here, the teacher recites the text aloud, transmitting the blessings and continuity of the lineage through the spoken words of the teaching.
Tri (Instruction or Teaching): This step involves receiving detailed teachings on the practices, guiding the practitioner on how to correctly approach and apply each stage.
Introduction to Yuthok Nyingthig Practice
Within the Tri (Instruction) step, practitioners engage in three distinct stages to internalize the teachings:
Tö (Listening Mindfully): Listening attentively to the teachings to fully absorb their meaning.
Sam (Understanding and Contemplating): Reflecting deeply on the teachings to cultivate a personal understanding.
Gom (Meditating and Habituating): Meditating on the teachings to instill them deeply within the mind, transforming understanding into direct experience.
